Judal hated sleeping at night.
Everything wanted to kill him in his dreams. Naps didn't have dreams.
Kougyoku hated the night.
Everyone was out to get her. Except her dolls. And Judal didn't really count as a person anyways.
They naturally flocked to each other, and kept each other company.
Judal watched over the idiot as she slept, and Kougyoku woke him so he didn't sleep long enough to get any bad dreams.
They held hands to keep the monsters at bay. They told each other sweet nothings and sung childish lullabies to rid themselves of the silence, if only temporarily.
It was from the horrible fighting that happened during the day, and the realization that they lived completely different lives to one another that they grew to appreciate each other.
But the day was still made just as horrible as the night from the fighting...
