A Poem for Ashley

This is a poem my sister and I helped write NOT a song. I give half credit to saintpattysbaby.

She opened her locker and a sheet of folded up paper fell out. She bent down and picked it up. She opened it and her eyes scanned the page.

Her hazel eyes glistening with the sun

Her lips a creamy red rose

Her smile goes from head to toes

Her kiss, oh that tender, sweet kiss

I admire her softly moving lips

Her words are warm, caring, and loving

Her heart as big as the empire state building

Her graceful moving body

Attempts her dance

Moving closer to me in a prance

Her cheeks turn a bright pink daisy

You know she's always busy

There's never time for her to be lazy

She waits, hangs around

And . . .

I solemnly promise

I solemnly vow

Here and now

Forever and ever

I vow to be gone from her never

For the truth be told

I am truly,

Madly,

And deeply,

In love with her

She raised an eyebrow and than it faded to a smile, thinking, "Looks like I got a secret admirer." She turned around to see him looking at her. She gave him a questioning look. He nodded, smiling sheepishly at her. Her smile grew bigger and she ran into his open arms. He held her tightly, swinging her in a circle in the hallway. "I can't believe you came back." She felt warm, salty tears fill her eyes.

"Why would I not come back?" he asked.

"Because this place isn't your home," she whispered.

"Like I had said before," he paused, "My home is with you." She started to cry right then and there, right in front of him. "I love you, Ash."

"I love you, Andros," she sobbed. He embraced her in a tender, sweet kiss.
