A/N: Had a bit of a rough day. Need me a Lena Luthor.
Sighing, Lena Luthor unlocked the door to her penthouse suite and took a deep breath, before closing the door behind her. Today had been a long day. Kicking off her shoes and hanging up her coat, she dropped her bag next to the door and poured herself a glass of wine. Not seeing Kara on the couch, a slight frown appeared on the CEO's face as she set down the glass of wine and stepped into her bathroom, groaning as the hot water ran over sore muscles that had been clenched too tight after a day of dealing with pretentious, old white men who didn't enjoy being under Lena Luthor's thumb. Hoping that Kara would be home soon, the pale brunette ran her hands through dark brown locks, feeling the heaviness of the day wash off her shoulders. Hopping out, Lena wrapped herself in a towel before heading to her closet, throwing on an old t-shirt and pair of sweatpants. Frowning at the silence in the apartment, Lena made her way over to the bedroom to find her girlfriend in a hoodie, huddled under covers in the middle of her bed. Padding quietly over, Lena sat down next to her and ran her hand gently through blonde locks.
"Rough day at the office, huh?" Lena murmured, placing a gentle kiss on the normally stoic superhero's forehead. Kara nodded before burrowing into Lena's side, snuffling quietly. "How are you feeling, babe?" Lena spoke softly, gently running her fingers through Kara's hair. The blonde mumbled something unintelligible and Lena sighed, wriggling under the covers as Kara immediately latched on to her and a blonde head settled on Lena's chest. After a long silence, Kara spoke.
"A man died today because of me." The blonde mumbled, her voice on the verge of cracking. Lena shook her head, running her palm soothingly up and down Kara's back.
"A man died today, but you are not to blame." The brunette murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of Kara's head. "If you hadn't been there, a lot more people would have died, babe." Kara sniffled quietly, hiding her face in Lena's chest. After a long silence, Lena spoke again. "Although if it helps, I'm here for you, Kara. And we can always just snuggle." The blonde nodded and Lena slowly wrapped her arms around Kara, holding her tighter. "I got you, Supergirl."
