A/N: Well, honestly, this is something that I just came up with. I wrote a report a while back and decided to write a poem that retold, basically, the whole story. Anyways, it's kinda about Christmas, thought that it would be fit for the season....Thnx and Enjoy!!

A crisp breeze flew through the air.
Today was the day all families shared.
A day of happiness is what they receive,
What is today? Why, it's Christmas Eve.
Awaking I remember a wonderful smell.
An aroma so sweet, of which I could not tell.
I ventured downstairs, a fairly easy task,
But something distracted me. "Well, what is it?" you ask.
It was covered in tinsel, from head to toe,
Red and gold Christmas balls, hung high and low.
To top it all off, a bright star perched high.
It was beautiful yet humble, almost kind of shy.
I was brought out of my thoughts by, of course, none other,
Than my wonderful, spectacular, beautiful mother.
She asked me to help prepare some food,
I gladly accepted, I wasn't going to be rude!
Hours later we finally accomplished our deed,
From pastries to pastas, armies we could feed!
After all that, we went to go dress,
when a little disagreement arose, I confess.
You see, my mother wanted me to wear,
A sparkly red dress that I just could not bear.
In the end, I admitted defeat,
But beating a mother is no easy feat!
After the cooking, dressing, and the little row,
I went to the Christmas celebration; my parents in tow.
They mingled, I played,
In blissful happiness we stayed.
In short, it was great-no, amazing!
And now as a sit on the couch, the fire place blazing,
I feel my heart beating, serenely, in my chest,
As I think to myself, 'This Christmas was the best!!'
