The warm water was running down in thick streams, soaking his ruffled dark hair, dripping from his chin, forming rich red rivers down his pale chest, each hair creating tiny rapids. He watched as the red liquid slowly mixed with still pure water as he cautiously moved under the spray, studied how pink meanders curled in transparent liquid before finally disappearing through the drain. There was already a heavy layer of steam in the air turning the small motel bathroom into some kind of tropical terrarium.

Inside his head he could still hear Jimmy screaming at him as he decided to step out and towel himself dry. The water dripping from his body was still colored in rich red shades but once Dean had said the white motel towels were made for being stained with various colorful fluids. Of course he hadn't voiced it exactly that way.

He had not even finished drying his hair as the creaky door was pushed open and Dean entered at the same moment he managed to get the already soiled bath towel down to his hips. "Jesus! Cas!" The hunter gasped at him a moment before clutching his friend's shoulders and turning him so they both faced the small mirror. "I don't think red really is your color..."

The sight was... unfamiliar but he was sure they both would eventually get accustomed to it. At least now it would be a bit harder to find him with this new hair color.
