1. No, this can't be happening! Naminé thought as tears dripped down her face. I told myself I'd keep this from happening but... She sobbed with her love in her arms: pale with no life in him. His cobalt hair stuck to his face, and Naminé couldn't bear to move the fringe that covered his left eye. His right was clouded over, never to see this life again. Naminé let out a wail and sobbed harder. I knew but I couldn't stop it. I couldn't keep you from dying, Zexion. I'm sorry. And sorry doesn't change the fact that you're gone…

2. Zexion could not believe she left. In his mind he couldn't see anything else than her getting into the car, wind whipping around her blonde hair, her cheeks stained with tears, and leaving. She left. That was one thing Zexion couldn't comprehend. The other was the words she had angrily half-shouted, half-sobbed to him...
"I can't...I...I'm leaving, Zexion. I can't take this anymore. I can't be with you...I...I don't want to hurt you anymore. I'm sorry."
They echoed in his mind like gnats, angrily buzzing and clouding any other train of thought. What he wanted to know was why...because, Zexion admitted to himself, he didn't care if he was in pain while being with her...because without her was much, much worse.

3. She hurt. Because he was gone. Because he wouldn't return. Because she'd lied. Because she couldn't tell him...she loved him...
Naminé wanted to be over this. Over the pain. Over the past. Over the loss. But pain is a high hurdle to jump. And for someone like Naminé, the past was hard to forget and forgive.
And there was something inside of her that knew he had to come back, he had to return...
But he wouldn't...and now...she was more than alone.

4. When Zexion woke up, there was a girl in front of him. Tears stained her pale cheeks and her blonde hair seemed in disarray. Her eyes seemed to lighten at the sight of him, but she was still crying as Zexion stared at her. He would have said something, but for once, he couldn't form the words.
"Z-Zexion..." She said. How did she know his name?
The girl took a deep breath and sighed, wiping the tears from her eyes. She fiddled with a strand of her hair and looked back at him. "I'm...Naminé..."
She seemed about ready to cry again. Naminé cleared her throat and spoke. "This might hurt...I'm sorry..."
Zexion's vision began to cloud over and he felt as if he was burning from the inside, out. Then everything went black.
