Smirk-Tastic
Roxas wondered whether maybe – if in some alternate universe somewhere – if he hadn't known Axel since he was three, he might not like him.
Because, well, he was the sort of guy Roxas could imagine himself obsessively hating. Axel was rude, tardy and obnoxious, not to mention he had (in Axel's own words) "bagged and bed" most girls in school. He went to parties drunk and left them passed out – relying on Roxas to carry him (and damn was he heavy for a skinny bitch) all the way to Roxas' car from where Roxas would have to drive him all the way to Roxas' house.
Yeah, he could imagine himself hating that sort of guy – the smirk-tastic, a-girl-is-hanging-off-my-shoulder-constantly, incredibly annoying Axel. He'd probably run away from him in the street and gossip about him to his friends about who he saw Axel kissing yesterday and how that best friend slash slave of his always had to carry him out of parties. And people just wouldn't care, they'd tell him to forget it and I think Roxas has a crush on sooomeoooone.
He'd probably watch Axel in the canteen and find imperfections, flaws, then point them out and laugh.
But, if Axel ever confronted Roxas, Roxas would probably deny it and blame someone else. Because, with shocking reality hitting him, he knew he'd be scared of Axel. He'd be scared of his own best friend – well, in this strange, strange world Axel wouldn't be his best friend – but it was a worrying thought none the less. He heard footsteps approaching from behind. Roxas took a bite from the sandwich he'd been holding for more than ten minutes now.
He felt someone's back press up against his on the stone staircase Roxas was currently taking up space on. With that someone there too, people wouldn't be able to get upstairs. Or maybe they'd avoid the stairs completely – what with that someone being there, they might be scared of Axel too.
Too? Roxas felt his palms go sweaty, was he scared that the someone would do something alternate universe Roxas would imagine him doing?
"Hey, Rox." The back of Axel's head leaned against Roxas'.
"Yeah?" Roxas remained rigid, not daring to even breathe.
"Could you turn round for just a sec?" He almost dropped his sandwich, he was so nervous – what had brought all this on? He hazarded a guess at his mother's (in)famous apple tuna surprise. The surprise was the well hidden fish layer she put in it. He'd been forcefed it only the night before.
He cautiously turned round, preparing for the worst. And suddenly lips met his for one delightful second. Blinking, Roxas' brain slowly realised what just happened. And slowly, Roxas' brain came up to one conclusion:
I wouldn't hate him if he did that...
Axel was Axel. And whether he was in this universe or another, he had just kissed Roxas – and Roxas had enjoyed it. Now, this was an entirely different feeling to being scared of Axel.

an jkjkjkjkjklololololol. don't murder me, please. not my best piece of work, i admit but i was ACHING to put up something. so this is from talking to chell about how much axel would frickin' scare me if i met him in real life. i would be a scarily obsessed hater. but because he's a video game character, i likes him. actually, i adore axel as a character. 'cause he's all firefirefire and has a temper and people who have tempers are generally fun to be around. so i like axel but i don't like in-my-alternate-universe axel. yeah -looks smug- i think i've proved my point... -sweatdrop- axel'd prolly be a chav in britain. so whatev. HAPPY JUNE, EVERYONES. MY BIRTHDAY IN 21 DAYS (including today) wow, i feel chatty. anyone wanna talk? i have a bundle of stuff to say.
