Danny slowly slunk down the stairs, nimbly avoiding the creaky step. His mission was of vast importance. If he failed, Lyndsay would have his head.

He reached the bottom of the steps and carefully made his way toward the kitchen. His goal was there, right in front of him, practically mocking him, saying "You're going to get caught." He wouldn't listen.

He grabbed his prize and sprinted up the stairs, not bothering to avoid the creaky step. He ended up in his room, with his back pressed against his door, panting heavily.

Danny looked at his hand and smiled as he remembered why he was here.

One of Lyndsay's cupcakes.

It would seem small and insignificant to someone who had never tasted one, but to Danny they were heaven in a small, convenient, cupcake shaped nutshell.

He walked over to his bed and sat down to admire the pastry. It was one of the simpler ones, just a plain vanilla cupcake with orange frosting and black sprinkles. His grin grew wider as he realized that no one knew he had it. He could have his cupcake and eat it too!

He raised the treat to his mouth, just seconds away from sinking his teeth in to it. Then he heard the door slam open. "Danny!" he heard Lyndsay's voice screech as he quickly hid the cupcake behind his back.

"Yes, Glinda?" he said calmly. Lyndsay scowled, exactly the reaction he wanted.

Then Danny noticed what she was wearing. "Is that your Halloween costume?" he asked. Lyndsay's grimace disappeared just as quickly as it appeared.

"Yeah! Doesn't it look cool? It's not finished yet, though," she said, turning around slowly so he could see all of it. It was a khaki jumpsuit with black combat boots and gloves.

"Um," Danny said. "What are you?" Lyndsay smiled mischievously. "You'll see," she said, and skipped out of the room.

Danny was relieved. Now he could eat his cupcake. He got up and turned his back to the door.

A shriek interrupted him once again, though this time wordless. He screamed. This was unexpected, and he whipped around just in time to be pinned to the floor by his girlfriend, Sam.

She was wearing the same costume as Lyndsay, but with a red, white, and black patch on the right shoulder. "Oh, crap," he said, as he glanced at Lyndsay and Tucker and saw they both had the patch too.

They were Ghostbusters.

"Ha ha. Very funny, guys. Can I get up?" Danny said, a nervous smile forming on is features. He was nervous because he saw Lyndsay staring at the cupcake he still had in his hand.

"No," she said, and walked over and plucked the cupcake from his hand, biting into it. Danny sighed.

"Sam, can you let me up NOW?" he said. She smirked and said, "Yep," and rolled off of his chest. Danny stood himself up and brushed off his shirt as he looked longingly at the cupcake Lyndsay and his friends were sharing.

"You know you guys suck, right?" he said angrily, crossing his arms.

"Mhmm." Tucker said, mouth full of cupcake. He swallowed. "Now I understood why you were so sneaky in trying to get this, dude."

"Yeah," Danny said, now looking at the empty cupcake tin. "Why do you guys have to be in costume to carve pumpkins anyway?"

Lyndsay rolled her eyes. "We were just making sure they fit, Danny. Ready to carve?" she said.

All three of the Amity residents' eyes brightened as they yelled "Yeah!"

And they tromped down the stairs into the kitchen to find the pumpkins already carved, faces staring at them.

Jazz appeared from behind the one on the table saying "So, guys. What do you think?"
