Dear Elizabeth Kirkland,
I am so sorry to hear of this news Elizabeth, we all have become worried sick. We where afraid that you had already died in the cross way of battle. Retrieving your letter has let our fears diminish. Some of them at least. We are so happy to hear from you, but of course we all wish it was on different terms. We have been struggling here without our darling little sister not to mention the air raids from the zeppelins and fixed-wing aircrafts. They have been hitting all of Britain, so I am sure you have witnessed them at least once. We hope they are not causing you much trouble. We all miss you gravely. Both our brothers and myself. We all have came together just to have a form of comfort in this war time, and you know how much we all get along. But it shows even in these war times, we all need a form of comfort. We are all praying for your safe return, we hold you in our hearts and we will do whatever we can to keep you safe in this hard time. We wait for your return, we know you have the power to make it through this, you are our little sister after all. And no matter the war, the hardship, all of us will remember the little sister we had, and we will remember this new Elizabeth, if you change. That will be fine. You are still Elizabeth Kirkland, our sister and that will never change. We all send our hope and all of our love. Elizabeth please. Come home safely, we beg of you. We don't know what we would do if our little sister never returned.
Sincerely,
Arthur Kirkland
