Chapter 1:Deceive

Edward's POV:

I left the house, ready to betray my only love for the blood lust I knew would overcome me when I went to the woods and found the girl Alice saw tied to a tree, helpless.

I knew what I was doing from the start. I knew but didn't dare say I would. IF I did I would be weak. Letting my opponent defeat my in battle. I felt Alice's thoughts beating themselves into my brain.

Don't do it, Edward. Think of me. Think of Esme. Think of Carlisle. Think of all of us. Think of Bella. The last was the only one that had any hold over me now. It sent a slam through me, telling me to go to a forest and get some deer or maybe elk, but not this helpless girl. I knew I couldn't stop myself. I wanted the blood. Now.

Bella's POV 20 minutes earlier:

Edward said he had gone hunting, I thought nothing of it until I heard Alice and Edward's mummers as I stopped myself from rounding the corner and colliding with them.

"Edward, what if you come home and Bella's here? What would you do then?" Alice asked him, worry coloring her voice. I immediately felt tears well in my eyes. Could Edward leave me again, after swearing to me he wouldn't?

"Alice, I'm not going to attack Bella. I'm just going hunting..." he trailed off, some meaning hidden behind the words that chilled me to the point of shivering.

"But, what will you do when you've had the human? Leave her body in the woods? Bring human hunters to Bella?" she asked, this changed the direction of my thoughts. The Volturi.

"Alice, I wouldn't do that. I'd eat the whole human, and I may not even eat the little worthless thing." he said as he left the room through the front door. My eyes were so wide they felt like they would pop out of my head.

Edward... a human... in the woods... hunting... eating...

I gasped.
