Kairi's lullaby

The full lullaby Kairi sang in a previous fanfic entitled "Bait." Though this is rated K, the fic this originally appeared in is M rated and I encourage only mature fans to read the original.

Kairi's lullaby.

Softly call the birds in flight,
calling for the fall of night,
while the air's a cooling breeze,
whispering softly through the trees,
saying sleep my love, dream my love,
let it take you on the wings of a dove.

Though the day is nearly done,
and away has gone the sun,
Light still shines in our embrace,
and upon your peaceful face,
so sleep my love, dream my love,
fly away to heavens above.

We are safe so have no fear,
let them all just disappear,
lose yourself in waves of sleep,
may your dreams be warm and deep,

A.N. This is a short original poem, I haven't quite thought up a tune to go along with it, so fans are welcome, and if fact encouraged to use whatever tune they imagine to it. I wrote this originally to be used in a previous fanfic: Bait, it is the song Kairi remembers from her childhood on the Destiny Islands and sang to Riku to help ease a nightmare when he was so sick after his imprisonment, but unfortunately only a snippet made it into the final story, so here it is in it's entire glory. I encourage readers to check "Bait" out, but as I have warned so many times before, it is M-rated and very dark themed. I hope you enjoyed it.
