The orange sun rose over the savanna plains. The rays of sun light made its way in the lion's den by small cracks in the wall. The first lioness to awake was; Kiara. Kiara has changed after the death of her father. She became stubborn, never to listen to the cries of the lions or animals of the savanna. With her new attitude, Kiara has made some enemies, even those who have sworn to protect her and Kovu.

"Wake up," hissed Kiara. None of the lions or lionesses seemed to hear her. She walked over to Vitani and stepped on her tail.

"What is wrong with you Kiara," yelled Vitani.

"I'm Queen, and I expect everyone to listen to me."

Vitani rolled her eyes.

"Do it again, then no one will be Queen..."

"Excuse me, but what did you say," snarled Kiara.

Nala stepped in front of the two lionesses.

"Kiara, you aren't Queen, I am...and you need to stop being so stubborn," cried Nala.

"Listen to the Queen...Princess," teased Vitani.

Kovu was awoken by all of the noise. He rose his body up and walked out of the cave. Behind him was a dull brown lioness. The lioness had Vitani's eyes, but they were green instead of blue. The lioness fur was flat and neat. The lioness had a black stripe going down her back; like Zira's. Her nose, tail end, and under her paws were black. The lioness's name was Ryenza.

"Hey you, remember me," said Ryenza.

Kovu turned around.

"N-No, I don't think I do..."

Kovu spent so much time comforting Kiara, he forgot about the other lionesses.

"It's me silly, Tamikah."

Kovu squinted his eyes at the lioness. Then he began having blurry clips of him and another cub playing tag with Vitani, Nuka, and Kopa. Then the clips became clear. It was a brown cub, which looked like the one standing in front of him right now.

"RYENZA, I-IT'S REALLY YOU," cried Kovu as he nuzzled the lion.

"It's been a while," said Ryenza calmly.

"Yeah..."
