Artemis Fowl: A Christmas Poem
I run; I hide
I have hurt so many
This was bound to happen
There was no preventing it
So I knew it would come
Eventually
He stares at me
I stare back
But there was a difference between us
And I am not in control
Was I dead?
Was I alive?
My fate rests I the hands of others
Not my own
I was killed
Shot, like an animal
The way I hunted others
I was blind; deaf
But I hear wings, and I wonder
An angel?
Bringer of chaos?
No.
Holly, in her wings
She holds my face in her hands
She heals my wounds
Her wings beat slowly
And I start to wake up
I see color
My senses return
I look her in the eyes
She looks back into mine
She was the most beautiful Christmas angel
That I had ever seen
.
.
.
And I...
I…
I think I love her
But she had flown away
… … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … … ...
