The quick E/C one-shot I got staring into open air. Post 8.11
"Hey Cal?" Eric said popping into the locker room. Calleigh missed his voice calling her 'Cal'.
"So I'm still 'Cal'?" Calleigh turned around smiling.
"Um...yeah...I forgot." Eric said coming into the locker room, sitting down on the bench next to her.
"No, it's great. So....you were about to say something and then I interuppted you and all. What's your question?" Calleigh asked.
"Yeah...you wanna go out for dinner tommorow? I'm still in Miami for a while. That is unless you got other plans." Eric said meekly. Calleigh stared at him not exactly understanding if he was serious or not.
"Sure." Calleigh said carefully.
"So I'll pick you up at about 6-7-ish? If you didn't move that is. did you?" Eric asked smiling
"No, I didn't move!" Calleigh laughed.
~~~Next Day, Calleigh house, 5:30 pm~~~
"Hey..." Eric said as Calleigh opened the door. Dressed in a midnight blue dress, Calleigh looked dazzling.
"So? You ready?" Calleigh asked trying to get through Eric's dropped jaw and amazed eyes.
"Wha? Yeah, come on." Eric said briefly shaking his brain. "So how's life? What's new?"
"Well, you know that I can't talk about cases, but there were a few intersting non-case related things happening."
"Really? Like what? 'Cause if it's not a case, then in a work relationship in which I am greatly interested in." Eric said turninng in his seat slightly to look at Calleigh.
"Well two things I can think of because they happened rather recently. One is that Jesse actually succeed on asking Natalia out for drinks but then," Calleigh said sadly. "She got stood up."
"What? Seriously?!"
"Seriously. Did you hear about the fire?"
"Yeah. And something about two CSIs. You weren't one of them right?"
"No. It was Ryan and Natalia that were stuck in there." Calleigh said.
"Oh. Well thank god the're okay." Eric said pulling into a parking spot.
Great. This is no longer a one shot. Shit.
