Chapter 1: Meet The Real Me
Hey my name is Jo. I am fifteen years old. I live on a farm that my parents
own. I love working on the farm, especially working with animals like the
horses. My favorite horse is Cheyenne, she is brown and white.
I love ballet it is so graceful and relaxing. I love leaping, because in
some ways you feel like you are flying.
I hate school when we are not in class because everyone makes fun of me because I work on a farm and do ballet. They think to be farmer you have to be a boy, I hate all this stereotyping. They also think ballet is for babies and losers. As long as I know who I am and what I do and that they are both for everybody, I will be less hurt. I tell my parents but they just tell me to ignore them and be friends with other people.
My Dad is and tall, strong, man, who works on the farm pretty much all day, starts at six and goes until five or six in the evening. I love hanging out with him. His name is Patrick, but we call him Pat. My Mom is a very nice and loving person who loves to cook. She makes the best cookies of any kind. Her name is Katerina, but we call her Kat. My older sister is weird! She spends like one or two hours making her look good. I think she looks way better without the makeup, but that is her opinion. She doesn't work on the farm she doesn't want to get dirty. Her name is Caitlin, but we call her Kate.
My twin sister is awesome, we do everything together. She works on the farm too. Her favorite horse is penny, a brown horse. Penny just had a baby named mansion. My sister and me do everything together and the same. We get the same grades. Her name is Justine.
My baby brother is only four months old. He is very loud and annoying especially at night. All he does is eat, sleep (a little), and whine. We named him Joshua but we call him Josh.
That is my family, or at least everybody that lives with us.
