One Fateful Encounter

"Morning!" I raised my head to see a girl standing in front of me. Her eyes pure and cheerful as she watched waiting for my response. I must have taken too long to speak when she asked, "Have you seen my Hyung?". "Huh, what's his name?" I said without thinking. It was the first day of school and I barely knew any of my peers faces let alone names! "Shin!" The girl said just as I was about to tell her that I had no idea who her brother was. Looking passed me the girl ran toward her older brother. I turned to see the girl hugging him his face bright, "Hyung you forgot you lunch!" The older boy grinned slightly embarrassed and looked up to see I was watching, I quickly turned forward to find anything else to focus on but him. In my 18 years I had never seen someone as gorgeous as the young man standing in the room at this moment. I bit my lip and tried to hide my excitement as the boy thanked his younger sister and sent her on her way. I toyed with my pencil and began to draw doodles in my notebook while I waited for class to begin. The older boy walked to the seat next to me and smiled. "Is this seat taken?" "N..no." I said nervously and peeked up at him only to be completely stunned by his brilliant smile. "Sorry if my sister did anything to offend you she can be hard to handle at times" he laughed. "Anyway my name's Lee Shin, you can call me Shin if you'd like." He said and leaned on his elbow looking at my doodles. I smiled nervously "I'm Kim Jang Soo. It's nice to meet you." I bit my lip again, one on my habits when I am nervous or excited. "You're really good at drawing!" He said and pointed to a small bear I doodled. "I really like this one." I laughed "I'm not that great I have friends that are better." "Hard to believe." He shook his head. "I wish I had talent for drawing" he sighed leaning back into his chair. "I'm sure you're good at something!" I said encouragingly and gave him a tap on the back. "I play guitar." He responded with a cute laugh. "See!" I said, "I have no musical talent what so ever! I bet you're great!" He nodded. "I've played for years now. I could teach you some if you want?" My heart skipped a beat. How could a boy this perfect possibly want anything to do with me? I shook my head in agreement "I would love that!" I said cheerfully trying to hide how truly overjoyed I was.
