This is a little birthday gift for my friend ITell - as you're 13 hours ahead of me, this is being posted right in the middle of your special day, so Happy Birthday honey, hope you have a lovely day.
Thanks to MapleleafCameo for stepping up and checking it for me while my regular proof reader preps for an exam.

Sally stared, her jaw hanging slack and her eyes so wide that Greg was worried that she might damage her eyesight.

That said, Greg was worried that the outcome of this particular demonstration might also do permanent damage. Some of his worry must have transmitted to the man standing next to him, because he leant in closer and spoke directly into the Detective Inspector's ear.

"I still think this is a bad idea Greg. We can stop it now, before any damage is done."

"You don't know how much I want to John, but I think it's gone too far for that."

Both men stood, looking up at the figure dangling upside down in the full body harness, some ten feet above the ground. The only thing holding him up there was Sherlock Holmes, holding onto the other end of the rope.

"What would happen if he dropped him now?" Sally whispered.

Not quietly enough though, as Sherlock answered with far too much glee. "His brains will smash on the concrete floor."

Without pausing he tied the rope to a metal supporting pillar, then picked up the blood-stained long handled scythe that had been discarded outside the warehouse. He held it up to the hanging man.

"And this is how he eviscerated the victim." Sherlock demonstrated the move.

Anderson screamed.

"Bastard!"
