Tails worked in his workshop, finally finishing his clone machine. He sat down to rest after staying up two weeks straight to build it. He had just put a blanket on himself and cuddled with a Cosmo doll when a familiar blue cat burst through the door. Tails woke up quickly and fell out of bed from the shock. He recognized the blue cat was Star, Silver and Blaze's daughter. He stretched and yawned, seeing that Star was scared or anxious.
"TAILS! YOU GOTTA HELP ME HERE!" She shouted at the top of her lungs. Tails tried to cover his ears as they rung from the cat's yell. He looked up at her in wide eyes. The two-tailed yellow fox sighed and got up.
"What is it this time, Star? Is it about Jennifer, Sabrina, Forest, or your dad, Silver?" Tails asked. The blue cat tried to calm down and sat on Tails' bed.
"All of the above…" she answered, ashamed. Tails was confused, trying to figure out what she meant.
"I'm up to my neck with things today! Jennifer has the anime convention and I agreed to go with her, Sabrina has a birthday party and I said I'd be there, Forest FINALLY asked me to a movie and I accepted, and my dad said I HAD to go to the family reunion! The worst part is, that it's all at seven thirty!" She explained. Tails nodded and smiled.
"Well, you picked the perfect day! I just finished my clone machine and need someone to test it. Plus, you could have four Star the Cats at the same place at the same time!" he exclaimed. Star turned joyful and gave Tails a bear hug.
"Oh, I just KNEW I could count on you, Tails!" she shouted with glee. The cat happily stepped into the machine and closed the door. Tails looked at the controls and set the number of clones up to three. He pushed a bright small green button and lights came out through the machine.
"You might feel a small pinch!" he shouted. After a series of flashing lights and loud noises, the machine stopped moving and gave a loud "RING!"
Tails went to examine and opened Star's door. She practically fell out on Tails from the loss of balance.
"Star, are you alright? How do you feel?" Tails asked, worried. Star rubbed her head, trying to figure out what happened.
"…ugh…T-Tails?... did it work?..." she asked, finally realizing what just took place. Tails didn't even think about the clones. He opened the clone's door and three Starfires came out in front of him. They all smiled simultaneously and shouted,
"HI TAILS!"
Tails was annoyed already. Though, he noticed that there was something different about them. They had different personalities. One was rude, one was nervous, and one was just all-out random. Also, they all had numbers on their jackets. Number 1 was the rude Star, number 2 was the nervous Star, and number 3 was the random Star. The original Star had already left with her clones, smiling happily.
"STAR, WAIT! THEY GO AWAY FOREVER AT MIDNIGHT!" Tails shouted at Star.
"I got it, Tails!" she shouted back, laughing. Tails sighed and did a face palm.
"Oi vay, what have I done?"
