Dear Harry,
If you are reading this, it means that I have most likely moved on to a (hopefully) better place. Please, don't cry. If you have ever loved me, then accept why I had to do this. Dumbledore once told you that love would defeat Voldemort. It did. My love for the one Voldemort marked as his equal saved you. Hopefully. Then, you had the power to defeat him once and for all. One life for hundreds of innocent people. I think it's a fair bargain.
My whole life, I was always the smart one. At primary school, I was the friendless geek who knew too much for her own good. At Hogwarts, I was the resident Know-It-All. Yes, I know what everyone called me behind my back, and in some cases, to my face. Frankly, I would have preferred if people were honest and told me what they thought instead of whispering and gossiping. Hey, what can you do? I didn't feel like my life had a purpose. I was the brains of the Golden Trio. The perfect prefect. I was tired of it all. Then you told me what the prophecy was. Honestly, it was no shock to me. Being who I am, I figured the part of "neither can live while the other survives" a long time ago. Why would this man try killing you so much? I spoke to Dumbledore about it. I then realised what my destiny was. Why I was put on this earth, on the train to Hogwarts, sorted into Gryffindor, and saved by a cute boy from a troll. It all made sense. My goal in life was to protect you. And I tried my best. I hope it was enough to save you. Therefore, Harry, I knew what my ending would be like. I knew that I would feel little pain, and I knew that it would save you and the world. But I did this for you. I did this so you can live a normal life. Live a life without Voldemort. Be happy. Live. For me. Please.
