Who would have guessed

That the sight of every angel falling

Would be so beautiful?

It's a tragic beauty, sure,

But the grace

Or the gracelessness

With which they fell

Brings tears to the eyes

It's stunning, watching the wings

Go up in flames,

The last spark dying out as the body hits the ground.

Who would have guessed

That the sight of one lone and lonely angel

Would be so heartbreaking?

It's a poetic heartbreak, sure,

Too much heart was always the problem,

Wasn't it?

His love for mankind never dies, despite everything,

Despite the loyalty to his brothers and sisters.

There are tears in that angel's eyes as he watches his siblings

Falling

And it's all his fault. Again.

Who would have guessed

That the sight of two broken brothers, clutching each other

Would be so satisfying?

They're hurt, sure,

Slouching by the car that's been their home

Watching the comets in the sky

Plunge towards the ground

Tears of pain and a sense of loss

Death waiting impatiently at their feet

But at least they have each other

And that's all that matters in the end.
