Summary: Shifu's thoughts during the last fight scene of kfp2. Read and review.

Shifu p.o.v

All is lost. We lost. Now lying on this piece of wood,floating in the middle of this sea, I know that I have failed. I have failed master Oogway, I have failed my students. China is doomed. I have failed China. Shen has defeated us. We have lost by the power of his weapon.

I look up to see Po staring at me. He sees through me and senses that I have given up. His eyes are in shock. He is not expecting me to give up. But I'm really a very realistic men by experience. I know a defect when I see it.

Disappointed, His eyes moves towards his injured companions. Crane, Viper ,Mantis , Monkey, Master Croc And Master Ox. They are hurt and thankfully, alive. But are in no condition to fight for they too have lost their hope. His eyes moves here and there in search of someone. And sure enough he finds who he is looking for. His eyes widens with fear as he struggles to keep himself in one place. I follow his gaze and there I see what he sees.

She is not moving a muscle. I watch her with helplessness. And my eyes are also filled with dread. She is so still. As if all life in her has been sucked out. I feel scared for the first time in a while.

From where I am, I am not able to tell whether she is alive. No,she's alive. She has to be alive. She is my daughter for gods sake! She has to be alive, after all I have done for her. She has to be alive for me! But realization hits and I remember that I have done nothing for her. I.. I don't have the right to even call her my daughter. I have never called her that so why the sudden change of heart? I'm sorry Tigress, I think, even if its meaningless But you have to be alive. Give me another chance. This time I will... I will be a father for you.

My thoughts are interrupted by Po, who has swam towards her. While I was busy deciding whether she is dead or alive, he went near her in concern. Nice, i bitterly think, what kind of father am I? Oh right, the one who failed. We all might die here any minute and I still can't help her. Wonderful Shifu! You should get a award for your failures.

I see his lips move to say her name. She responds by lifting her head up to look him in the eye. She is alive,Good, I have a second chance. They keep staring at one another. As if talking. After what seems an eternity, Tigress rests her head, obviously due to weakness, on one arm while holding Po's paw with the other. Po moves his eyes towards the main ship. Where Shen is enjoying every Moment of our misery .

Their eyes lock for a brief second.

Po's are filled with rage while Shen's with amusement. Po looks at Tigress one last time before pushing her away. He whirls around and starts swimming towards a small island. A moan escapes his lips. He is hurt too.

I turn around to see Tigress's arm reaching out to him. She is calling him back, she wants him to stay with her . I raise an eyebrow, how extraordinary. Great, now my fatherly instincts are kicking in. Anyway I leave that matter aside for now and turn around to see him.

He stands up with closed eyes, ready to die. What? He is a bigger idiot than I thought. What does he think, sacrificing himself will help? My god,he is not an idiot, he is the king of them. " As you wish, let's finish this" my sensitive ears catches Shen's voice. They are going to kill him. I have to do something! My heart urges to move forward but my body is just to weak. My broken hip is hurting Immensely. All I can do is watch him die.

He moves his right leg and circles it around and my eyes go wide with shock. He's doing the inner peace stance! But he can't have possibly. Not in such a small amount of time, he cant master a move which took me about 20 years to master in just three days!
Now he Waits. He opens his eyes. It changes! The look in his eyes changes. He's confident.

But can he do it?

Boom! Goes the cannon to end his life. He closes his eyes, moves his hands just like I did, to handle the drop of water and deflects it! I stare at him in shock. So do Shen and Tigress He did it! He did it!He did it? How did he do it? Is he the same Po?

He moves his hand towards his face. Showing off. But then realizes it's on fire and the bodacious, awesome, badass moment is ruined when he starts screaming. Yup, he is still the same Po.

But that doesn't matter. What matters is that Shen can be stopped. That Po can save us again.

A part of me can not help but to think how unfair it is that he got to master Inner peace in such a young age.
