While waiting to post on my ATLAB roleplay forums I kind of got impatient. -' So this is what I think should happen but won't because Avatar is on nick and they wouldn't go this deep. 0-o Please Review?
Disclaimer: I don't own ATLAB. If I did I would kill the Zutara theory and many other weird shippings. P
Chapter One
"It's been one month since Uncle went missing," recalled the Prince to no one but himself.
The report had been entirely unexpected, even surprising Azula to some extent. But after some well thought out conclusions, she figured that it didn't matter either way if he was out roaming the world. She ruled the world; her father just didn't know it yet.
But worry and shame still bit at the edges of Zuko's mind. Exactly one month and a week before, he had betrayed his uncle. That's what Azula and the Dai Lee had witnessed, so it was made true. Before that battle had even taken place, after Azula had consulted him in the catacombs, the Prince had set his uncle free and listened, flustered at how fast he'd come up with a plan.
A small explosion occurred behind the Prince who still remained kneeling on the ground. Iroh approached.
"I hope you're not considering her offer because I want you to receive my input first."
The Prince didn't reply and Iroh summarized it all shortly, hoping his nephew would get the right idea. "You've grown more mature and strong in the last few weeks. The change is greater than anything Azula could comprehend by just looking at you. Are you going to willingly join Azula or willingly join her with a plan?"
He could feel Iroh's inquiring gaze on the back of his neck. Zuko raised his hanging head with understanding and turned, returning a look of lost intentions.
"I think I know what to do..." he sounded unsure of himself.
"I know you can do it," Iroh placed a comforting hand on his nephew's shoulder as a father would his son.
The Prince didn't reply but gave one last look before starting off after Azula. He didn't decide on the road less taken but he had a deeper reason for such a decision.
Now Zuko felt conflicted. The calming breezes that floated up to his balcony were not comforting at all. They seemed to carry embers from an imaginary burning kingdom below. The people were still mostly unaware and any word of the victory among the commoners was silenced.
Just hours before his sister had exercised her right of power. She always denied no chance to inflict pain on others it appeared, like a greedy monster. At the last meeting she held, they spoke of his father who was unaware of their plotting. Ozai did indeed receive their letter and praised them equally but did not send any other word. They did not know anything of what went through his mind.
Zuko could sense Ozai was delighted though with only one weak nation to conquer. The Water Nation did not have enough people to fight an army made of greater forces than their whole cities. His guess was that they'd readily surrender or become another extinct nation like the air nomads had.
The one thing they hadn't told Ozai was about the solar eclipse. Not that it would benefit Ozai but that fact alone could contribute to an uprising while they were weakest. Azula had given a lot of thought to the Aang's companions, believing she had killed off Aang, and saw them as no threat. But she had ordered 'Wanted" posters to be posted throughout the major trade cities.
Zuko suddenly grabbed his head as it began to throb, leaning on the marble railing for support. "What is happening to me?"
