Summary: Years ago, Danny was hurt in a way that no one ever thought, not that they carred. It forever changed him. By some cruel twist in the thing we call life, it happens again. This begin to affects his 'job', as he discovers who he really is.

Prolog
"Due to some freak and probably ghost related accident, Amity Park's own Casper Highschool is now smoldering ruins. That's right, the school has burned down! This is Harriet Chin reporting directly from Casper High's field."
The TV Clicked off as Jazz Fenton wondered what had really happened. Where was Danny? Why couldn't he help them? He may hate it, but it was his school.
Jazzmine 'Jazz' Fenton was a smart young woman. She had just gotten her bachelor's degree in psychology, and was currently a first year medical student, interning in the psychiatric ward of Amity General. Her little brother was Amity Parks own Danny Phantom, though hardly anyone knew this. After a freak accident when he was fourteen, Danny had become half ghost. He could fly, become invisible and intangible, among other things. With these strangely acquired powers, he had taken on the responsibility of saving the people he loved.
But where was he?
Jazz knew he could have stopped the fire. With that ice power of his, it would have been a breeze.
The front door crashed open, revealing the frost bitten figure of her younger brother, slightly the worse for wear.
"Danny, where were you?" Jazz ran to hug her younger brother, but he had become intangible.
"Please, Jazz, Don't touch me. I just got back from another fight with Schulker. He's started having his suits designed by Technus, and I'm pretty beat up..." Looking up he stared into her green eyes with his peircing blue ones.
Something was telling her not to pester him.
"...Okay" She hesitated, wondering what to do. "Danny... do you know what happened to Casper high?"
He, rather disconcernedly shook his head.
"Danny... Casper High burned down."
No response.
Snapping her fingers Danny came out of his daze.
"Casper. High. Burned. Down." she repeated slowly.
"What?!?!?"
"Casper. High. Burned. Down." Jazz repeated, for the third time.
"...How?"
Picking the contoler up from the couch, she clicked on the television.
"And then there was this like... evil laughter, and then everything burned up in green flames!" Dash Baxter was waving his hands in the air for dramatic effect. Harriet held the microphone closer to her own mouth. "There you have it folks, the first hand account of a ghastly attempt at revenge from beyond the grave!"
Danny stood silently in shock for few seconds before racing up the stairs to his room.
As the door slammed behind him Jazz wondered what had caused that kind of reaction from her younger brother, but brushed it off. Sighing she began to prepare for her shift at the hospital.
Never once did she hear the quiet sniffling from behind her younger brother's bedroom door.
