Nervous for Nothing

Never again will I ever submit another entry, was the first thought she had as they called number 14, and she walked to the stage, in front of thousands of people. The lights of the stage, the flashes of the cameras, everything that makes you nervous when you're about to sing your lungs out. You stand their alone, with everybody's attention, and waiting expressions.

Sweat trickles down your face to your neck, and you begin to heat up. What if they done like you? Your voice? Your performance? You have to admit, you're not the greatest. They probably don't even know what you're doing. They will think you're a freak! The music starts, and you move your arm up and down. You think about backing down and running off the stage, but you continue to hit the beat every time, your legs frozen in place.

Your voice is shaking once you first let the sound free. Ba, ba, ba, and you start to slur the words. They make no sense, but you slaved over them for weeks to learn every syllable. Do they like you yet? Your thinking about giving up again and your arm starts to ache badly. A miracle, the break in the song where you rest your arm and pretend to fall asleep. You peak one eye open to the audience for the first time, and see the smiling faces of all your fans. They know this. They recognize it. They like it! You say you can do this.

You can. You start to move your arm at a faster pace, and with more confidence, you bring the piece of paper to cover your face with the drawn surprised expression on it. You pronounce every not-word like it's an actual language. You can hear they audience screaming and howling, giving you more and more confidence, and you sing like an angel. The song rears to an end, and there's another break. You stop singing, and sleep again, resting your arm. The ba's continue though, and you're relieved the aching is gone. You listen carefully to the beat, and at the last note, you drop the leek.

You look up to the crowd, and they all stare in astonishment, and howl out her name. She smiles, and walked off, carrying her leek and piece of paper. As she walks down off the stage, she hears the host,

"That was number 14, Miku Hatsune, with Levan Polkka!" , and the crowd goes even crazier.

:P Hope you liked it!
