Rin sat propped up against a tree and stared into the center of the camp fire and seemed to be in some what of trance. The amber, red and orange colours of the fire danced across Rins face. "Rin go to sleep." Sesshomarus smooth voice jolted Rin back to reality. "But I can't milord; I'm not at all tired." Was her reply. Sesshomaru sighed; he was in no mood to deal with her tonight. "Just lie down and eventually you will fall asleep." Rin nodded and reluctantly did as she was told.

Squirming to get comfortable she looked up at the stars wondering what mystery lay behind them. There is more to them than their shimmering appearance, just like Lord Sesshomaru! She concluded. Rin gazed at the sky in awe she had never seen the moon so big and clear, she felt as though she could reach out and touch it.

Sesshomaru observed her from afar and saw the questions brewing inside of her. Great he wouldn't have a moment's peace tomorrow. Well at least she was pre-occupied now so that he could relax. He'd had a long day in battle and did not wish to be disturbed.

A shooting star glided across the sky. Rin automatically placed her hand over her heart and closed her eyes. "I wish that for just one day I had a big sister." She said sadly barley above a whisper as to make sure nobody heard, forgetting about her lord's extraordinary hearing. It was fun being with Jaken and Lord Sesshomaru but she had always wanted an older sister.

Sesshomaru heard her wish however choose to ignore it as come morning she would have forgotten all about it. He hoped.

As usual Sesshomaru set off early the next morning for a walk and left Jaken to get Rin out of bed and feed before he got back. Jaken, of course, was unhappy about being left to care for Rin and as he walked away Sesshomaru could him mumble and complain under his breath.

When Sesshomaru returned he was ill prepared for what he saw. Rather than the usual scene of every thing packed and ready to go with Jaken and Rin bickering, Rin was absent today. Sesshomaru strode up to Jaken, who was rushing around gathering Rins belongings a job Sesshomaru insisted Rin do herself.

"Jaken." A single drop of perspiration formed on Jakens brow when he heard his Lords voice. "Y-yes milord?" Jaken answered shakily. "Where is Rin, I instructed you to mind her did I not?" Luckily for Jaken just as Sesshomaru was about to hit him he heard Rins voice in the forest and set off in search of her.

"Big sister! Big sister, are you there?" Rin called as she looked for any trace of her wish coming true. Sesshomaru watched this from afar and he almost smiled as Jaken waddled up, staff of two heads in his hand and rambled on at Rin about how they must get back or lord Sesshomaru would leave them both behind.

Hours had passed and Rin was now sat on A-Uns back swinging her legs deep in thought, for which everyone was grateful because she hadn't spoken a word yet. She sighed deeply and seemed troubled. "What is it Rin?" Sesshomaru said instantly regretting it. "It's just….I was wondering…milord do wishes every come true?"
