Hello everyone! And welcome to my story! If you don't know, 'Mon amour, le loup' means 'My love, the wolf' and the Chapter's name means 'Meeting the wolf'. If you haven't guessed what that means, then I guess you'll just I have to read on to find out! X3 Anywhore, if you are one of the readers of 'United Kids of America' the only reason I haven't updated is because I lost my notepad, which has all the Ocs of the states in the order I wanted to group them in. As soon as I find it, I'll update, but until then, it's on a temporary hiatus. Sorry for the inconvenience. T^T Now, on to the story!~
Matthew Williams sighed as he left his nightly classes to head back to his lonely apartment. He's used to to live there with his younger brother, but Alfred had gotten offered a chance to join an exchange program and go study in England, which he took.
Matt decided to take the shortcut through the woods. He'd heard that there were wolves living in these woods, but he wasn't afraid. He loved wolves, and knew how rare it was for them to attack people. The only times it really happened was if they were starving, mistook the person for another animal, or perceived them as a threat to them, or in the case of mother wolves, their young. As he was walking, the silence was suddenly broken by what sounded like...whimpering? Matthew thought he'd imagined it, until it occurred again. Following the sound, he through the bushed and gasped.
There, on the ground, lay a giant, pure-white wolf. The most shocking thing , though, was the bear trap on its hind leg, which was covered in blood. Feeling his heart clench at the horrid sight, he mindlessly stepped out of his hiding spot. The wolf's eyes landed on him, making him freeze due to the fact that they were bright red. Quickly snapping out of his reverie, he spoke to the beast. "It's all right, I'm here to help." Slowly, he knelt by its side. When he was sure it wasn't going to attack, he leaned forward and, using all his strength, opened and removed the metal death trap from the wolf's leg. The albino animal seemed to sigh in relief when the trap was removed, but otherwise, it didn't move. Matthew pulled a water bottle from his bag, and took off his hoodie to remove the wife-beater hidden under it, before putting the red hoodie back on. Gently, he poured some of the cool water onto the wound, causing the beast to whimper. "There, there, it's all right." Matthew cooed as he carefully wrapped the wound in his shirt, hoping to stop the bleeding. Then, he poured the rest of the water into his cupped palm, and gave it to the wolf to drink. "Sorry, that's the best I can do." he said sadly, wishing he could do more. The wolf leaned over and gently, licked his cheek, causing the blond to giggle. "You're welcome! Okay, I've got to go, but I promise to come back tomorrow, eh?" the wold seemed to nod as it watched him stand. Gathering his things, he pecked the wolf on the forehead, before turning to leave, hoping the albino would still be there in the morning.
Yeah, I know what you're probably thinking. 'Who in their right mind would go up to a wild wolf!?' Well, Mattie's a bit of an oddball, okay? Review, favorite, and follow! I hope you enjoyed it! I might publish the second chapter today, seeing as I've already written the first four and part of the fifth. All reviews are welcome, but flames will be eaten by Wolf!Gilbert! XD
