~The reaping~
It is the day of he reaping .I get out of bed and put on my nicest clothes.I were a tan shirt and pants . My parent made me some eggs and some of are family's famous biscuits . They like to try to cheer me up on reaping day but nothing ever works.I walk to were the reaping is and i see Katniss Everdeen she is so pretty .I guess her sister is 12 because i have never seen her at the reaping before .I see Effie trinket come up to the stage .She shows some really boring video then gets to the reaping part ."Ladies first "she waves her hand over the glass bowl ."primrose Everdeen" that must be katniss's sister.I hear someone screaming it's katniss .All of a sudden i hear her scream "i volunteer as tribute" .Katniss goes up to the stage .Then Effie pulls the boys ."Peeta Melark".My heart stops i look around hoping there is another Peeta Malark in district 12. But there is not i wait to see if anyone volunteers of course no one does . I walk up to the stage ."Here are our tributes for the 74th Hunger Games".The peacekeepers take us into separate rooms .My mom and dad come in they tell me to try my best .We hug and they leave.I don't think i will win there is 23 other tribute that want to live as well . after a while they put us on a train and we are of to the capital .
