This is quite a sad one bout Lily, not very long, just summat that came out
of nowhere, really, one English lesson. Ne way, here it is!
There she stood, in the train station, waiting. Fiery haired Lily Evans, intelligent, gentle impatient green eyes saying so much about her; her pain, worries, love and courage shone through those windows to her soul.
She shifted her weight from one foot to the other and checked her watch every five seconds. Then she heard the sound of a train chugging, getting gradually louder and louder. The steam engine rolled to a halt, the guards blew their whistles, and then she saw him. Black hair a mess as usual, green eyes so like her own, and that scar, a lightning bolt, on his otherwise perfect forehead.
Harry seemed to look straight through her.
As the first tear fell, she felt a hand on her shoulder, squeezing reassuringly. She didn't have to look to know it was James. She let herself weep but did not take her eyes off her son. He laughed with his friends but she could see the sadness constantly in his eyes.
The hand squeezed tighter and she knew they must go. As a crowd of people passed by, they faded away into nothingness.
