Summary: Tag to Requiem. MILD Gibbs/Tony slash. Again, it can be seen as father/son.

Rating: T-ish

Disclaimer: I don't own. I wish I did. But I don't.

POV: Gibbs

Authors note: Here it is. I finally wrote a Gibbs.

Hidden Strength

DiNozzo is insane. Absolutely, positively, certifiably insane.

Of course, I knew this.

And I've done crazier.

Say, backing a car into the water.

But what he did was almost as crazy.

Jumping in after us.

Crazy, I'm telling you.

"Hey Bossman," Abby says, entering the hospital room.

"Hey Abbs," I reply weakly. "What is it?"

"What? I can't just come visit?"

"Abby," I say. I don't have the patience.

"I just went over the data we got from the car you drove into the water. You said Tony had to kick the windshield out?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"Well, normally I'd be surprised that he was able to. Or that it was even possible for someone who wasn't a major body builder. Windshields are made to withstand a lot. Add several pounds of water pressure, I'd say it was impossible, but I've seen crazier…"

"To the point Abbs," I say.

"You said you were trapped beneath the steering wheel?"

"Yes. Point. Now. Please."

"I've seen crazier," she says again. "Like someone ripping the steering wheel out of its socket in order to save you."

"What?"

"I didn't think it was even possible, but he did. I think Tony has some hidden strength we never knew about. A lot of it."

"Oh."

"Yeah. Then he pulled you back out of the water. From what he said, He gave you CPR first, but you didn't come back, so he switched to Maddie. Once she was okay, he went back to you. You'd be dead if it wasn't for him."

I knew that.

I did.

But hearing her say it made it more real.

Hearing her say it made it his fault.

Tony had saved my life.

I look back down at the near dead form in the bed before me.

And now he was paying the price.

A/N: I know. I am horrible. I had to though.

Reviews are purdy.
