I couldn't watch School Time Shipping without writing about…
What happens next…
Jet started looking around, turning to Haru and Zuko in confidence, "So…"
"What do we do now?" Zuko asked.
"I've already got a date" said Haru.
The boys' faces dropped.
"What?"
"How?"
"It's only been two minutes since Katara said 'no'" Zuko said again, looking to Jet. Haru just shrugged.
"Boys. Stand back and watch the master in action." Jet said, removing his hook swords again and wiggling his eyebrows towards a girl sitting near her shirituzu, taking the stick of grass out between his lips.
"What am I going to do?" Zuko whined. Haru shrugged again and joined Ty Lee. Standing beside her was Mai. Zuko took a deep breath and approached her. "Dance?"
"Sure." And the slightest hint of an expression came upon her face.
Meanwhile…
Aang was making a list... and checking it twice.
He saw out of the corner of his eye Longshot push a piece of paper in front of Smellerbee. He looked back to his list and crossed out her name at the top of it.
He looked to the next name – Meng.
Turning around, he spotted the girl with the pigtails and smiled at her. "Hey, Meng. You want to go to the dance?"
Her face fell. "Sorry Aang, I'm already going with someone." She nodded over to the Duke, who was thumb wrestling with Jet. "But I really hoped that you were going to ask me." She added.
Aang looked down at his list again, crumpled in his hands. The list was running short. Mai and Ty Lee were out too. Maybe he could have Sokka's leftovers?
He looked over to the boy, who was ducking his head slightly under the desk as the two girls on either side of him continued to threaten each other.
"Well, I'm not going to the dance without him" Suki said in a huff, grabbing part of his ponytail from under the desk.
"Well neither am I" asserted Yue, putting her hand over Suki's both of them making a joint attempt to yank him up.
Aang shook his head sadly… that left only one name…
Later…
"So, Aang" Katara said, coming up to him after school, "I'm sorry I'm not going to the dance with you."
"It's alright Katara."
"I hope we both still have fun."
"I know we will Katara."
All of a sudden a voice called out, "Avatar… oh, Avvvvvaaatarrrr…"
"That's my date" said Aang a little nervously.
Katara's eyes widened. "Aang? You're going with…?"
Azula smiled sadistically. "Now I get to do what my brother never could. I get to capture the Avatar."
Aang gave Katara an offhand smile, "she thinks it's a game" he whispered loudly before being dragged off.
Katara waved, as she saw her brother being dragged after Aang and Azula by the ponytail by two girls.
"Katara! Please! Help me!" He cried panicked as he was dragged away. Katara just smiled. She hoped everyone would have as much fun at the dance as she would, and she was sure it would be just as big a deal as her teacher had made it out to be.

Note: If it was really my school time shipping, I would have went with Teo and Mai and Zuko and Toph – because there was no sign of Toph in the short… and because Booter Freak on deviantart already did a super awesome pic of Toph and Teo for school time shipping, I decided to put my own favorite ships aside.
But I'd like to note right now, that I started writing Haru and Ty Lee, and some said it would never work. So give Teo and Mai a chance now (and read my fic or something…)
