Author's Note: So I know I haven't updated on either of my stories here lately. But this new season is like killing me inside, so I decided to start something fresh. I hope everyone likes it. Please leave me reviews they help me decided whether or not to go on with the story or not. So don't be shy. Ask me questions, anything. And I promise to get back to you.
So I know this is a little short, but it's just the prolouge so I wanted to see what you guys thought of it first. Basically it's just the story of how Leyton will eventually find their way in the end ;'D
There are times in our lives, when we will eventually find ourselves lost. Completely lost and incredibly lonely. We will look forward to absolutely nothing and expect always the worst outcome. Feeling as if tomorrow holds no significance in our life because the one thing that had kept us going before is now something we are no longer able to hold on to. We are no longer able to claim it as our own. It is now in the past, and that is where it will stay, tucked away only for painful memories and heart aching realizations of how good we had once had it before. There is nothing left worth fighting for. There is no hope, no joy, no love.. left is just an everlasting feeling of emptiness and regret.
Peyton had always thought that she would never have to go through that period of her life again, but she was wrong. Dead wrong. That overwhelming feeling of emptiness would apparently haunt her for the rest of her life. Because she had nothing, nothing left to look forward to anymore. Every hope and dream she had prayed for the past 3 years was shattered the instant Lindsey flung her hand in Peyton's face, and declared Lucas had promised to spend the rest of his life with someone other than her. She remembered turning to Lucas, pleading with him her eyes clouding over as she felt this horrible gut wrenching feeling in her stomach. She silently pleaded with him that it was just a sick joke he was pulling on her. But as she stared into in his eyes, his face somewhat expressionless she knew right then and there her answer. He had every intention of marrying her, and he had no concerns what so ever about breaking her heart all over again.
The proposal she decided was a slap in the face to say the least, considering not even 2 hours before she had confessed to him that she was still in love with him. Obviously the kiss meant nothing to him, or he had done the one thing she was known best for. When the going gets tough, Peyton gets running. Or in Lucas' case, hide from your true feelings with some other girl. When she asked him if he still loved her, he avoided her question all together and just said he needed to go to Lindsey. So of course he would never admit to still be in love with her, but Peyton knew he still loved her, because she could feel it in his kiss and that's what hurt the most.
