Serves Him Right
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
A/N: Much shorter than my usual stuff. I fear this might be a little inconclusive, but I rather like how I managed to write something without turning it into fail!porn. Feedback-wise, anything goes.

Doumeki is kissing him and he doesn't mind it all. It's all a bit sudden, but then Watanuki is used to things happening very suddenly and unexpectedly. Perhaps, after having seen and experienced so many decidedly uncommon things, you rather lose the ability to be fazed by unusual circumstances anymore.
Still, if you had told Watanuki that he would be doing this a few years ago, he would have blushed and then – very loudly – expostulated while gesticulating frantically how that was not only wrong, but bat-shit insane. Okay, he probably wouldn't have used that exact wording, but the fact remains that the very thought of sleeping with Doumeki never, ever crossed his mind (apart from those confusing dreams that all teenagers have: confusing dreams that make you sweat and moan, but that – in the harsh reality of day – you way too eagerly dismiss as being some warped product of your brain).
But, now that he's older and a little wiser, Watanuki finds himself not minding it greatly that Doumeki is kissing him – and Doumeki is much gentler than he ever expected him to be. In fact, as he closes his eyes and just loses himself in the sensation of having rather soft lips pressed against his own, it nearly feels good.
Nearly because, at the back of his mind, there's always this nagging voice telling him that it's wrong (wrong and bad and can only lead to eventual heartache).
Doumeki's hands aren't forceful; they're rather protectively clasped around his waist – as if he were some precious, awfully fragile thing that needs to be protected from being shattered into bits and pieces. But then, Watanuki knows he can't keep Doumeki from always being here. God knows he's wanted to – because, even if he claims to hate and not care about Doumeki, he knows that nothing will good from this loyalty.
I don't deserve it – I don't deserve you, he wants to say but doesn't because it won't change things.
Doumeki has always been mightily stubborn, and, if he wants to be hurt so badly, then Watanuki won't stand in his way. Indeed, if he's going to be such an idiot, it only serves him right.
