Another little drabble/one shot. All of the ladies of each clan worry about something, especially at the time of the holidays. Take a little peak into there minds during this day. Includes little! Merida and the suitors.
I don't even own Brave on DVD what makes you think that I own Brave?
Elinor looked around at all of the ladies in front of her and then at the children playing at their feet. She was supposed to entertain all of the Ladies of each clan while Fergus had his party. They were celebrating the winter solstice together that year. She looked at each woman and her eyes lingered on her daughter playing with the boys.
"So what games are we going to play? Are we going to get out some wine? Perhaps join the children?" asked the excited Kirstin MacGuffin. Her long wavy brown hair was loose and she stood out among the other women. Not just because of her excitable personality, but also through her appearance. Other than her loose hair, her dress wasn't new and stained with flour from helping the cooks. Also her pregnant stomach jutted out in front of her rather large for expecting a child. Well one child.
A woman with ginger hair only looked at her incredulously, her brown eyes grew wide. Did Kirstin just suggest drinking games? That was absurd only her husband could have those kind of games. Kendra Macintosh didn't even drink unless it would out of politness toward her host.
From her seat a women with long white blond hair coughed. It took a lot from her to come and join all of them, Bonnie Dingwall was sickly for awhile now. All of the women Elinor knew but hadn't talked to for awhile. She was more accustomed to speaking with all of there husbands rather then them directly. She knew all of there names but didn't think Kirstin would be such a go lucky women. Or that Bonnie was nearly crippled from sickness. Or that Kendra dotted on her son so often.
From the door three of Fergus's hunting dogs were let in. Elinor only rolled her eyes, Fergus insisted that they liked her. She knew that Fergus wanted to keep them around for protection purposes.
"Mummy!" yelled Torrance from across the room. At the sound of her sons voice Kendra swooped up from her seat to him.
"What's wrong?" asked Kendra.
"I don't like dogs!" said Torrance hiding behind her skirts. Both dogs however were playing with Ian and Abernathy happily one licking Ian's face. Merida was scratching one of their stomachs. Kendra put her son in her lap.
The children looked up at there mothers for a brief moment and then continued to play with the dogs. Elinor sighed again trying to think of something to entertain all of them, but the first thing they had to do was get rid of the dogs. So she got up and shooed them out of the room. After this happened everybody was quiet in the room, they were each buried in there own thoughts.
Elinor was wondering if Merida was even okay with this boys. She did have to marry one of them, but it was still hard for her to think about. She just wanted to live in the moment but she was trying to get Merida prepared for what would happen.
Kendra Macintosh was still worrying about her son. She didn't really want Merida to get to close to him, and then them falling in love. She really wanted Torrance to marry Aileen of the Mackenzie clan.
Kirstin Macguffin wasn't really worried about everything, she was nothing but a bundle of joy. Getting on the floor she played with Ian, Merida, and Abernathy a game with hand clapping. She was showing them some simple games they could do. All Bonnie Dingwall was worried was that Abernathy would be okay with the other daughter they had just brought into the world.
