Save Me (Poem)
Disclaimer: You know.
Silhouettes cascade downward.
Their once known brilliance
now only stands
as a shadow caged inside.
Voices shout out wordlessly.
Their muted panic a warning.
Nothing here to keep sanity,
Behind cold bars you stay.
A dance of sorrow rejoices.
The memories you seek to find.
Taunting images burn your sense;
you need to escape.
Running as fast as you can.
Only falling further away.
Temptation is deliberate.
Don't succumb.
A taste of evil so sweet.
Warmth to comfort and ease.
Light a match to this wick,
Burn it all to ashes.
Trails of black guide you.
Stairs to travel anew.
Watch this pity unfold.
Your sense re granted, follow.
Feel the burning in your throat.
Taste the agony in each gasp.
Smell the remnants of blood.
What have you done?
Fool. Bite back the pain.
Fight the temptation.
Do not give in to this obsession.
Rise from this, carry on.
Watch the light illuminate your skin.
Feel the tender embrace around you.
Drift down my darling.
Follow me, don't let go.
