One early afternoon, Rex the dinosaur asks Woody and Buzz, "Hey, guys, since it's a nice day out what do you say we do something?"
Woody said, "Good idea. How does a picnic in the park sound?"
Buzz agreed. "Yeah! We haven't had something like that in a long time."
Woody said, "I'll make some lunch for us, while you, Buzz and Rex get a blanket and a basket out of a closet." Woody then goes to the kitchen to make lunch.
Woody makes 3 kinds of sandwiches for him and his friends: one is turkey, one is ham, and one is a BLT. Then afterwards, he puts the sandwiches in separate Ziploc bags. Then Woody goes over to the refrigerator and gets a bottle of lemonade and puts some in 3 empty drink bottles. Also he gathered up some fruit: apples, oranges, and grapes. He even got plenty of napkins. By the time, he has finished making lunch, Buzz and Rex had arrived with a blanket and a wicker basket. Buzz said that the sandwiches are very good. Woody declared that he made them himself, and he has got some lemonade in 3 bottles.
The 3 toys pack their food in the basket and Rex said, "Now that we've got the picnic food packed up, let's head on over to the park."
So Woody, Rex and Buzz jump out the window and start to head off over to the park. They maneuvered past humans so that they won't get seen. Minutes later, they have arrived in the park. Woody checked his watch and said that they will have lunch at 12: 45. Let's play a game of Kick the Ball. Rex nods.
After minutes of playing Kick the Ball it is now 12: 40. Woody said that it's nearly lunch time. So they have a few more minutes of playtime until… "It's 12: 45!" Woody said. Rex said, "That means it's time to have our lunch." Buzz says, "Let's put our ball aside, and let's eat." So Buzz eats the BLT sandwich, Rex eats the turkey sandwich, and Woody eats the ham. Buzz said, You really did make great sandwiches, Woody. This is really a great picnic. So Woody gets out their drinks and they propose a toast.
Woody said, "A toast to me making this picnic the greatest ever." Rex and Buzz said in unison, "You said it, Woody. They drink their drinks and they played more ball kicking until it was 12:58.
Woody said, "I have got to say, this really was a great picnic. Tommorow we are going camping. Come on guys. Let's go home." So the toys head back home.
