A single tear graces my face,
Too bad you never knew your place.
I remember you all too well,
Can see the way you lived in hell.
A single tear slides to my chest,
My heart won't let me put you to rest.
I see the past in my vision so clear,
The future without you is what I fear.
A single tear wistfully falls,
The sob I hold makes no tries to stall.
Even in your absence I have to cry,
Without you my life is a lie.
A single tear lands painfully slow,
My love for you is all I know.
The pictures of you held so close now,
The hopes all my heart will allow.
A single tear sparkles from the sky,
The only thing I can do is wonder why.
I never knew you were in so much pain,
The heavens continue to cry through the rain.
