Horo clenched his teeth to stop their chattering; he was so scared. In front of him laid a sleeping Chinese boy with hair that was getting very long; so long in fact that it started affecting their performance during a battle. Ren's sharp locks would always fall into his eyes and stab them, making Ren momentarily blind. When Horo had suggested for Ren to get a haircut Ren laughed, then when he realized Horo was being serious he pulled his Kwan Dao up to the Ainu's neck. No one could get near Ren with a pair of scissors unless it was his private Chinese barber, and had scoffed at Chocolove when he said that the American barbers were just as good.

Horo and Chocolove had been discussing it all week, they would cut Ren's hair no matter what.

That was why Horo was shaking over the Tao's body with a pair of scissors. Chocolove slowly made his way in front of the Tao with his entire body shaking hoping not to make the slightest noise. Not until it was absolutely necessary anyways. He looked up at Horo who gave him the thumbs up sign meaning he was ready. Chocolove took a deep breath and leaned over the Chinese boy. He sat on top of Ren and pinned down muscular arms and legs.

Ren's eyes flew open immediately and threw Chocolove off of him as if it were nothing. He stood up tall and glowered down at Horo and Chocolove, thankfully missing the pair of scissors in Horo's hands. "What the hell is going on here?" he growled.

All at once both Horo and Chocolove came running from either direction at him. Ren leapt up above both boys and with a crash they knocked into each other and fell to the ground. Ren landed a foot away from the idiotic shamans and shook his head.

"Now, who's going to tell me what's going on?" He tapped his bare foot against the hardwood, waiting for an answer.

Neither of the boys replied, but slowly they stood and got to their feet like Zombies. Horo raised the scissors in the air and they both started walking towards Ren. That was when he finally cued in on what they were trying to. His golden eyes went wide and he took a fearful step back, tripping over the coffee table and falling back onto his ass.

"I will kill both of you! Get off of me!" Ren yelled as they successfully pinned him to the ground. As Horo raised the scissors in front of Ren's face his voice escalated and he started swearing in Chinese. Horo ignored him and tried his best to get Ren to hold still so he could properly cut the bangs, but Ren wouldn't give up that easy. Every time Horo thought he could start Ren would jerk his head away.

"I'm cutting your hair whether you like it or not. So you better just deal with it!" Horo hissed and was determined to cut Ren's hair.

Finally he got to Ren's bangs and he closed the scissors.

Ren jerked his head away.

Snip

Ren's hair fell to the ground with a thud, and Horo stared at the smaller boy in horror.

Ren slowly looked down to the ground, where there was a purple triangular clump of hair laying on the ground. Chocolove, who was now just as shocked as Horo was easy to push off, and slowly Ren brought his hand up to feel his head, where there was no more spike.

"Bo-bochamma…" Bason whimpered

"AUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yoh looked up at Manta, "Did you hear something…?"

--

The next morning Yoh, Faust, Ryou, and Manta all met at the same restaurant as they did every morning, glancing up when they heard The Ren step in.

The team gaped at Ren and his lack of hair; until they saw Horo and Chocolove.

"W-what happened?" Manta was the first to break the awkward silence.

"They needed to learn a lesson." Ren answered simply as he took a seat in the booth and opened a bottle of milk.
