I have no idea what the hell this is. I was just watching Star Trek the Original series and I just wanted to do this. So if it makes no sense I am sorry. This is just the ramblings of writer trying to make you all smile. If you find anything that is wrong or could make it better, please leave a quick review to help me to make it better. Love you all and thank you for taking the time to read this.

It was no secret that the doctor of the Star Ship Enterprise had a great dislike for the first officer of the ship. At points he could understand the Vulcan or he thought he could. And on those briefest of occasions, he found that he could tolerate the Vulcan.

"Just don't tell him I called him the finest first officer in the fleet."

"Why thank you Doctor."

But the rest of the time, he found that that green blooded, pointed ear, pointy eye brow git. And he didn't mind saying that. He At points wanted to kill that man. At points he wanted to leave him behind on some forsaken planet for the good of his sanity. If he didn't have the Captain as a buffer between him and that man, he would have shoved him out of an airlock long ago.

"Your pulse, is 242. Your blood pressure is practically nonexistent. Assuming you call that green stuff in your veins blood."

"The readings are perfectly normal for me, thank you Doctor. And as for my anatomy being different from yours, I am delighted."

It was these sort of subtle things that made McCoy's blood boil. That sort of teasing usually wouldn't make him so mad, but when it came from Spock, he just wanted to strangle him. It was like the Vulcan knew the exact buttons to push to get him relied up. If it wasn't for Jim, they would be in need of a new first officer.

"Second degree burns. Not serious, but I bet it smarts."

"Doctor. You have an unsurpassed talent for understatement."

"Well maybe if you hadn't of run off,-"

"Now now. Lets not be testy. We need to find out what did this to Spock so lets keep it together."

But their were times when that stupid man was so human it hurt. At one moment the Doctor could be criticizing him for his lack of human feeling and in the next moment he is proven wrong a hundred times over. And then the mask will be back in place.

"Why don't you care Spock. Chekhov worked with you on the bridge. You were close and yet you feel nothing."

"That, Scotty, is because Mr. Spock has no feelings. And he doesn't care enough about you, me or any of us to care when we die."

"McCoy. Scotty. That is enough."

"It is all right Captain. They forget that I am also half human."

But this Doctor can give as good as he gets. McCoy knows exactly how to twist that green blooded Vulcan's ears to make him get as close as he will to showing emotion. And when ever the opportunity presented itself he will always take advantage of it.

"Jim! I mean, uh, captain. It is good to see you well."

"Mr. Spock? Was that an emotion you just showed?"

"Why I? Uh um."

But all in all. After everything that the goblin did to piss him off, McCoy knew he could always count on Spock. Though, McCoy would always think of Spock as a emotionless, green blooded hobgoblin. And he would have him no other way.
