Disclaimer. Thanks to Lokakuu and Gin for beta. Raistlin&Caramon belong to TSR, I'm just making mo.. wait no. I do not earn anything from this.

Story notes: I have never read Dragonlance in English, and I believe that might effect the writing a bit. I'm pretty obsessed with Raistlin/Caramon. Can't stand any Crysania stuff.

Lunitari's light poured over the red robes.

Raistlin's back was turned to face the fire. Caramon picked a stick from the ground. He stuck its head to the flames.

Caramon's head moved to rest on his knee.

"I haven't seen you do your coin tricks for a long time."

The words were suffocated agaist the fabric. The stick burned slowly.

"I'd give so much to be back in Solace, to travel a few years backwards."

The mass of red material didn't move. It seemed like nothing was underneath it.

"I'd stare your fingers. You know, they're… what's the word… fragile. Strong but fragile. Isn't it strange?"

Caramon poked the stick deeper into the fire.

"I have no longer a memory of how they felt against my skin."

Flames swallowed the rest of the wood.

"Oh stupid me."

Slowly Caramon moved to lie on the ground and drew the warm cloak over himself.

A piece of cold metal pressed against his chin.
