The Letter
Disclaimer: I don't own Phineas and Ferb. That belongs to Dan Povenmire and Jeff 'Swampy' Marsh.
I've been waiting a long time to write this to you.
I tried many times to put this onto paper, but every time I've started writing, I end up just throwing whatever I wrote into the trash. Every time, I'm too scared to jot down what I'm feeling. Every time, I'm terrified on how you would react.
I'm still terrified. I can't even meet you face-to-face to tell you how much you mean to me.
We've been friends ever since we can remember. We've been best friends for almost that same amount of time. We've seen so many amazing things in your backyard during this summer: giant spinning tops, a car wash, the spa, the backyard beach. But throughout everything that has happened this summer, and for some time before that, I always hoped that I could be more than a best friend.
In other words, I really like you.
I really like your red hair which shines in the sunlight. I really like how you're always at my side. But most of all, I really like how every time I see you, your face always seem to light up and that makes mine light up too.
But it makes me sad too. It makes me sad because I know you don't share the same feelings I have for you. Sometimes you're so busy with something that I don't know why I even try. I'm also sad because if you reject me, we might not be friends anymore.
If my suspicions are right, I still want to be friends with you. And I hope you still want to be friends with me too.
She signed and sealed the envelope, with tears welling in her eyes. After she recollected herself, she walked over to the Flynn-Fletchers' backyard. There, she saw Ferb alone, looking over some blueprints. She approached him.
"Ferb," Stacy asked, "could you give this letter to Candace?"
