"Ooh awesome decorations!" Kiko said as Kevin chuckled.
It was the first week of December and while Christmas wasn't for a couple of weeks, in the Gru house it felt like Christmas had came since the family had gotten a huge tree which had taken many Minions to decorate plus it was the newest member of the family, Emily's first Christmas.
"Yes as we've had these since we were pups but Dad was afraid we would break them, since we goof up sometimes." Kevin explained as she understood.
She and Brooke were looking forward to the holidays especially Christmas Eve because that was when Santa came making Nefario smile remembering how last year, El Macho had almost ruined the ho,I days for not just them but the entire area so relieved this year would be calmer.
Gru chuckled arriving down in the lab as the girls were in the kitchen baking so the Minions were occupied down here plus Kevin was making eggnog cocktails for the others to enjoy, making him chuckle, seeing the Purple Minion off. Duty by himself drinking eggnog.
Sometimes Kevin felt shy in group things but it normally took Dave encouraging him to join I squatting on a Minion sized chair.
"Hey.." He said as Gru understood.
"Feeling shy, huh?" Gru asked.
Kevin nodded as he loved the holidays but he and Dave were going on their usual weekend to New Yorkwhich brought back memories for him along with Bob and Stuart but Dave knew why, it reminded them of their search for an new master.
"Hey that was the past, Kevin.
Besides you guys were looking out for your family but we are family, always remember okay?" Gru said seeing Agnes dressed like Elsa making Stuart smile because he loved to dress up like she did, plus had brought cookies for her Dad as Kevin smelt fruitcake.
Gru smiled seeing that Kevin was feeling better as he hated seeing any of the Minions sad but he always played Santa for them with Kevin's help, since Kevin loved seeing his brothers's reactions to getting toys, treats or pyjamas and new overalls.
He then had to go give something to Kevin that was the list for his and Dave's brothers but Kevin's irked since he had forgotten
"Thanks Dad, as I was worried that I forgot to get that list." Kevin said to him as they were going to the airport as Gru hoped they would be okay
Later that evening before bed, Gru was reading the Night Before Christmas to the girls and Minions but they were loving it plus were getting sleepy and Gru and Lucy were doing Elf on the Shelf for Agnes and Edith along with the Minion pups taking them to bed.
Chomper and Pricat were tucking Sulley into her crib the way Gru and Lucy were tucking Emily in leaving her to sleep plus had promised Kevin to watch Kiko until he and Dave got back from New York.
