It was a stormy night, in the month of October. In a suburban neighborhood , a normal family is about to experience something that would ruin their lives forever.
Mr. and Mrs. James where about to leave to go out that night and have some dinner. Before they left thought they decided to watch some TV. As soon as they turn the TV on it seemed as though they where flashing warning about a "manic on the loose". So before they left they told their son , Josh , to lock all of the windows and doors, and go to bed at 10. So they went out the door and he locked it behind them and never looked back because tonight could be his last.
As he got ready for bed he locked all of the doors and all of the windows….except one, which he will soon regret. About 10 minutes after he went to bed he started to hear this sound like water dripping it was "DRIP DROP DRIP DROP", so he started to search. He went in the bathroom and checked the sink and tub and neither where dripping. So Josh guessed he was imagining things and went back to bed. Then about another 10 minutes later he heard it again "DRIP DROP DRIP DROP".
This time he went down stair and looks in the kitchen. He sees that it wasn't dripping and decides to go back to sleep and to forget this noise altogether but some times we never get what we wish. Then he hears it for the third time and goes straight into the basement where the laundry room and water heater is to see if it is one of them making the strange noise. But before he can even get their he sees it open and sees his dog head decapitated hanging on the doorknob dripping blood. Now he realizes what the dripping noise is. In a panic, he runs to the phone to call the police, but their was no dial tone. Apparently someone must a cut it thinking he would call someone. Very clever !
Just when he was about to scream 2 thoughts hit him : One the killer is still in the house and 2 his parents have been gone for quite some time. He wonders if they are ok ! So he goes to the door and expects them to be driving up any second asking him "Why are you up this late ?". But instead he sees them dead in the driveway. Blood everywhere, and the knife still in them. Then he sees a shadow ……
