Disclaimer: Tenchi Muyo! is not mine. Don't sue. That would be sad.

~Power~
By, Heather B. Kytes (Beautiful Mirage)

There's a power in nobility, a certain intangible force. Hard to explain what it is, really. The knowledge that one day the princess will become an empress and rule over an entire planet is a powerful thing. It's something one can see in the confident walk, the certain distant aura she exudes. The impeccable neatness, the precision in battle, the selfless defender of the weak, the loving sister, the powerful princess, the beautiful girl...all of it is part of the power. I can see all of that. But it's the nobility that sets her apart from the rest...that's my Ayeka.

There's a power in freedom, a certain intangible force. It's almost impossible to describe. Knowing that she's free to be wherever she wants. Whatever she desires, she has the ability to go out and get it. Just one look at her exotic eyes and wild hair is enough to see that she's free. That's what I gave her. Freedom. I brought her out of the cave into this world. She wears it beautifully...that's my Ryoko.

There's a power in innocence, a certain intangible force. To look inside the eyes of an innocent child and to look at a bright, happy smile, it's like nothing else in the world. The way she looks out for everyone and wants everyone to get along, it's heart-warming. I could never be like that again. I've seen too much of the world to think things could ever be that perfect. In her innocence shines her soul. Destined to be a goddess, but forever to me, a sweet child...that's my Sasami.

There's a power in kindness, a certain intangible force. Every time she smiles, I can see it in her eyes. Everyone underestimates her. They underestimate the power in her kind heart. Even I did before. But now...I can see it. She'll be there to help out those who need it. It doesn't matter that she's not the smartest person in the world, because she'll always have that strength to carry her through...that's my Mihoshi.

There's a power in intelligence, a certain intangible force. It shines in her green eyes, reflecting the cold light from the computer screen. It radiates from their depths when she looks at me. I know she's thinking things that are beyond what my mind can grasp. Maybe scary, maybe wonderful things that I'll never get to know. Just knowing that all of her knowledge is there to help and guide me if I should need it...that's my Washu.

There's a power in love, a certain intangible force. It cannot be explained. All that is known is that it's the strongest power in the universe. To receive love is powerful but to give it is even more so. They say that in a man's lifetime, he should only give his soul to one woman to cherish and protect. It's too late for me, I already love these women. I wouldn't...couldn't trade any one of them at the expense of the others. Loving them is what gives me power...that's me.
