Blood Vision

By: Danielle McGeachie

I don't see in color,

Nor black and white.

The world haves many shades,

But I see none.

All I see is blood,

Delicious stuff,

Flowing from humans,

Calling me.

Drink your thirst away,

They all say.

We could be your life saver,

We'll protect you,

Make you stronger,

Smarter,

Faster,

More perfect.

How can I be perfect?

I ask,

When I'm cursed,

With immortality,

With vampirism,

With a hell life?

I cannot be perfect,

I don't even qualify for the definition.

So shoo,

You're pesky little things,

Let me live out the horrid life that I have.
