A/N: I wrote this a while ago and it's posted on the Scott/Logan LJ community. I just decided I'd post stuff on too.
Need
Scott needs Logan. He needs him like he needs food and water and air. Like he needs Jean. But Jean isn't there anymore. Jean is dead. That's why Scott needs Logan.
Logan isn't like the professor. He isn't like Ororo or the students. He doesn't pity him; doesn't skirt around the subject of Jean. Logan doesn't coddle him or wait until he's ready, because sometimes people are never ready. He pushes him forward. Jean is dead, and Scott and Logan aren't. Scott needs him.
Scott needs to lose control, so he lets Logan have it. He needs Logan to dominate him. Surround him. Hold him. Be inside him. He needs to feel Logan's strength and power over him. Logan makes Scott lose control. Scott needs to lose control; needs Logan.
Logan isn't gentle like Jean. Logan isn't like Jean at all. He's rough and hard and powerful. Scott loves Jean. He loves her tenderness and gentle touch. Scott needs Logan. He needs the roughness and the knowledge that Logan is in control. Logan is the one with the power. Scott needs Logan.
Scott needs Logan. He needs Logan there to hold him at night when they're sleeping. He needs him to be there when he wakes up. Scott needs Logan to help him when he's too proud to ask for help.
Yes, Scott thinks. I need him.
Scott needs Logan. But that's not true at all. Scott needs food and water and air. Scott needed Jean, whom he knows isn't there anymore. Jean allowed Scott control. He needed control. And he still does. Scott doesn't need Logan. He just doesn't want to admit it.
Scott wants to lose control. He wants to feel dominated. He wants to be held and helped. Scott wants Logan. But you'll never hear it from him.
