Korra POV
When I woke up I thought it was going to be a beautiful day. I had my wonderful husband, Mako, and a two bedroom home. I thought today was going to be a happy and peaceful day until I started to puke all my insides out of my stomach. Its been going on for about 2 weeks now. So I decided to go to the doctor's today with Asami. Mako was working double shifts at the police office so he would be out longer than usual. I rushed dwnstairs, grabbed an apple, and waited outside for Asami.
"Hey Korra"
"Hi Asami"
"So how you feeling" Asami asked as Korra came into the car
"I still feel nausea"
"Well hopefully the doctor can fix this"
"Yeah me too"
Me and Asami made it to the hospital. I've never really liked hospitals. They're always cold and their food is terrible. Adding the fact that they always wake you up in the middle of the night just to check if your alright. I was hoping I wouldn't have to stay here for a long time.
"Avatar Korra" the nurse called
I got up from the cold, hard chair right away. I was happy Asami was with me. I would hate to be alone doing this.
"Okay, so you say you have nausea"
"Well mostly in the morning"
"How long has this been going on for"
"About 2 weeks"
"Okay Korra I think your gonna have to take a pregnancy test"
"I'm not pregnant you know"
"Well just in case"
So I did and of course it said positive.
Congratulations Korra now you have to visit every 3 months so we can check up on you but for now go home and celebrate we'll give you everything you can't eat on your 2nd month. Again congratulations.
I was so spaced out that I hadn't realized that I was home and Asami was talking a storm about me being pregnant.
"Asami I'm not trying to be mean but shut up"
"Yeah sorry."
"How am I gonna tell Mako he's going to hate me"
"Korra you know Mako loves you stop with the bull."
"And just do it in a weird way that he'll understand so you don't have to tell him."
Asami left me alone for a few hours to figure out how to tell him when he comes home. Finally, I had figured out an idea. Even though it was very weird.
Mako POV
Today has been a long day. I have to deal with Lin's shouting. My idiotic employees. But somehow I still liked my job. I guess I was just used to it. But right now I was focused on coming home to my wonderful wife and house.
"Hey"
"Hi" Korra said with a kiss
"So what's for dinner?" I asked Korra
"Well this meal was actually really easy to make."
"Okay?"
"But I have blindfold you first."
"Okay"
How she said it I thought it would taste amazing but I opened my mouth it tasted anything but amazing
"Ugh, what the hell is this stuff."
"Baby food of course."
"Korra why did you buy baby food?"
"Because we're gonna need more in a few months."
At first I was confused but then it sunk in.
"Korra you pregnant."
"Well it depends, how would you feel if I said yes."
"I would be the happiest man alive."
"Then yes I am pregnant."
Korra POV
When I told him I was pregnant I was nervous but then he picked me up and spun me around and kissed me lovingly.
"Wait how far along are you?" Mako asked
"Two weeks I just found out today the doctor we have to come back next month and then check in every 3 months."
"What?!"
"We should be checking in every day I mean what if something happened with the baby and...
It was clear this was going to be a long nine months.
