Chapter 1:
7th Year.
Finally.
It only took me an extra year to get here.
I've cut my hair really short and started wearing my baggy shirt from a place called Hay (it's a book festival just inside of Wales in a place called Hay-on Wye), my grey hoodie and my baggy cargo trousers, and of course I had my black ASDA sneakers on (who can afford converse nowadays!).
Ron and Harry weren't coming back this year because they had been given a job whereas I didn't feel like I could accept a job without the proper N.E.W.T's. Ron and I had decided that we were better off as friends. Pansy and Harry were planning on getting engaged once Pansy had graduated, yes I said Pansy. Harry and Pansy had got together after Harry saved Pansy from her Father in the midst of the war. Neville and Luna had got together over the summer and they'd started writing a book on magical plants and herbs they'd discovered. They weren't coming to school this year because were going to travel the world and they were going to try and discover 30 new plants and herbs by the end of the year. I don't really know about anyone else, they've all been busy doing things over the summer and in the battle of Hogwarts, some...well you know.
I was going to sit with Ginny and her boyfriend and his friends on the train, but I don't know who he is.
Oh there's Ginny!
"'Mione!" Ginny and I hugged.
"So who's this mysterious boyfriend I've heard next to nothing about?!" She went all giddy.
"Hi..." I looked behind to see the new guy who's joined the conversation and saw it was Blaise Zabini.
"What're you doing here?..."
"I'm Ginny's new boyfriend..."
"Oh...Hi..." He laughed.
"I wasn't on the bad side you know, none of us kids were, we just acted like we were so we could save each other. The Dark Lo-V-V-Voldemort threatened us, he said that he'd kill all of us if we didn't help him. We did what he said to save each other. I'm sorry if we hurt you, I know there's someone else who wants to apologise to you." I looked at him questioningly, who would want to apologise to me. Then I saw him.
Malfoy.
"I'm sorry. I tried to stop them. I just couldn't. I tried and I tried..." I saw a tear roll down his cheek. I knew what he was talking about, he was talking about the Manor. I reached out and touched his shoulder. I know he tried, I heard him. "Oh, shit. I'm crying..." I laughed a bit, so did he.
"I know you tried, I heard you. I saw you... so, we're cool. You risked your life to try and save me. So yes I accept your apology. Now I'm really sorry but I'm head girl so I've got to go to the head carriage." Oh did I forget to mention that...YES! I GOT HEAD GIRL! WOO!
"Oh I'll come with you!"
"Malfoy thanks but it's for heads only"
"I know, that's why I'm coming with you, I'm Head boy!"
"OH! Alrighty then! Let's go!" We raced to the head compartment (and I won!).
I sat in the corner and read for about an hour.
"You look cute when you study Granger." I looked up. "Shit...sorry" I laughed.
"It's fine...yeah it's fine." I looked at him to see him smiling at me.
"Hey Granger...would you maybe, possibly, want to go on a date with me..."
"Um"
"NO! It's fine if you don't want to..."
"I was going to say yes, but if you don't want to..."
"NO! I do! Please..."
"Yes, I already said yes! CALM DOWN!" I threw a pillow at him and he threw one back and that's how the great pillow war began!
After about 10 minutes we stopped and sat and laughed for a while and then he turned to me and said: "I'm going to kiss you now" and he did.
