Usually, I wouldn't do this, as it is at the top of my profile, but since this is a part directly from the game itself (Skyward Sword) , I have to. Contains minor spoilers for Skyward Sword, but don't let that stop anyone from reading or reviewing this story.

Deep within the Master Sword she slept. She slept with the knowledge, that one day, she must leave him. With the knowledge that once this was over, the feelings she had developed for her master would mean nothing.

But before she left him, there was one last fight. One last battle with the one who thought himself more powerful than even the gods themselves. And she would prove him wrong. She would use every last drop of her power to keep him contained.

The monster known as Ghirahim had been defeated, and the Demon King resurrected. This was not so good, but all the same, she would do everything she could to help her master win this last fight before the inevitable happened, and she was sealed within the Master Sword forever, the only thing keeping the evil he commanded from returning to this world.

Before them, a black portal yawned open like the mouth of a beast that had melded with the earth beneath their feet. From within the sword her master carried, she spoke to him. She spoke of dangers, warnings of things yet to come.

"Master Link," she said. "I have important information for you. Once you enter this portal, my analysis indicates a 0% chance that you will be able to return, unless you are able to vanquish your foe. Are you ready to proceed?"

Her master nodded once, signifying that he was, indeed, ready.

"Understood, Master Link," she said. "Know that even in the place that lies beyond this portal, I will be with you… And Master… good luck…"

A small smile formed on her master's lips, and as she retreated back into the sword he carried, he ran forwards, into the portal, and into the unknown…

And as her master ventured bravely into the world beyond the portal, she, the spirit of the Master Sword, knew the answer to the question she had been asking herself ever since the dawn of her creation. Weapons were merely tools. It was the warriors themselves who could truly claim the victory. They were the ones who held the true power. The power of the Hero...
