"Hello Ion, it's nice to see you again! It's been so long since I've seen you!"
Anise smiled and continued speaking, not waiting for a reply.
"Guess what? While I was training today, I accidentally set a tree on fire. Some people saw and got all worried and stuff, but I put the fire out quickly! Boo~ Mama and Papa scolded me, saying I was 'destroying Yulia's precious nature' but I know that they were actually happy that I was growing stronger. And then after that, a bunch of kids rushed over, asking to see a magic show! They thought I was some kind of magician, but I'm much more than that, right?"
A sigh followed her explanation, but Anise kept smiling.
"I started my own little garden last week too, I forgot to tell you about that. I make sure to take care and water the flowers when they get dry, so they are becoming really pretty! I should show them to you next time. They are all different colors and sizes, so my garden is going to become the best in Daath! I think I should start asking for donations when people come and look at my flowers, because, you know, I need the money to buy fertilizer and tools, and other supplies. Don't worry, I'm not out to take money from innocent people!"
Anise froze when she heard something rustle behind her. Could there be someone eavesdropping on her conversation with Ion?
"Anise? Anise, where are you~?" A familiar voice called out to her.
With a grin on her voice, Anise waved her hands to get the person's attention.
"I'm over here!"
"Ah, there you are! I've been looking for you everywhere!"
Anise smiled at her companion and patted the spot next to her on the ground, indicating that her friend should sit with her.
"Have you? Oh, sorry Florian!"
He merely smiled and shook his head, "It's no problem. At least I finally found you. Is this...?"
Florian pointed his index finger out in front of him and Anise nodded her head slowly, looking back and forth between him and the simple, yet elegant grave that was in front of her.
"Florian, meet Ion... and Ion, this is my new friend Florian."
