Chapter 1: Prologue
The Dark Knight looked down in his hand at the vial of glowing purple liquid. His informant had given it to him very eagerly; after all it would eliminate some of their competition. "Are you sure this will cure Poison Ivy?" The Dark Knight asked skeptically, "I would be very unhappy if something went wrong." The Dark Knight put a bit of a threat in his voice.
"Of course it will, the Joker himself was gunna use it." The man in the shadows said with a small grin. "That was until you sent him back to Arkham for his latest vacation." The man chuckled to himself. "So how about that favor I asked for?" he said seriously.
The Dark Knight stared into the informant's eyes for a bit before saying. "Everything will be taken care of." He pulled out an envelope and tossed it to the man. The informant looked into it, when he looked back up The Dark Knight was gone.
The Batmobile was driving back through the streets of Gotham; he wanted to get back and prepare for his upcoming confrontation with Ivy. He needed to be prepared for her abilities like poison spores and other plant like abilities. He made the approach to the Bat Cave at top speed, and then made the jump through the waterfall. The Batmobile landed on the ramp and drove to the rotating platform in the middle of the cave undamaged.
The Dark Knight went over to his gear and started to prep his gear. In particular he set up a dart gun fitted with the vial. Once he was done he looked down at it, thinking of all the times Poison Ivy had ever caused him trouble. He was tired of her. He had more important things to do than chase her all over Gotham. The Dark Knight viewed her as a nuisance at this point in his career. Sure at one point she was one of his worst adversaries, but not now. Now he had to worry about the Joker, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, and others who seemed much more threatening.
How wrong he was…
